Chickaloon River Trail is in a quite desolate area and many people like to hike here to be close to nature. You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while and if you happen to be in Matanuska-Susitna Borough of Alaska, Chickaloon River Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. In the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Matanuska     River, and there's some flowing water nearby, Doone Creek is a stream you can visit during your stay. Alaska has so much to offer nature lovers. Man, is there loads of entertaining stuff to do in the Talkeetna Mountains. Whitewater paddling is good on Chickaloon River, and naturally Boulder Creek flows through this vicinity. ; September is the month that gets the most rain while March is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
