  Many miles from the nearest city you have Lost Lake Trail and hiking it is always fun. If you are in Alaska during hiking season you have to go hiking. In case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sixmile River.
A great spot for whitewater paddling close to Lost Lake Trail is Canyon Creek, and if you came for an overnight stay Bear Creek RV Park is a good spot to camp. The annual rainfall here at Lost Lake Trail is about average; all through October this area sees the most rain, and May is when it's the
    driest. Throughout the summer at Lost Lake Trail highs are frequently in the 60's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are mostly in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Lost Lake Trail.
Exit Glacier RV and Camping is a perfect campground nearby; if you have time, Kenai Fjords National Park is a national park worth taking a look at.
