| | Finally, hiking time is here again, and Boston Cutoff in Newton County, Arkansas is a perfect place for getting out. So many fun things in the Boston Mountains, just impressive. West Fork Big Piney Creek is in the vicinity of Boston Cutoff and is always a delight to check out; there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Big Piney Creek. The high level of precipitation makes Boston Cutoff a relatively wet site; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is January.

not far from Boston Cutoff at all, and camping is available at Dad's Dream RV Park. Boston Cutoff is a long drive away from Harrison but It's always fun to hike here.
During the long summer days at Boston Cutoff temperatures are ordinarily in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows
| sink down to the 60's. Highs through the winter are typically in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Boston Cutoff. Why not camp at Dogwood Campground if you're here at Boston Cutoff. There are many hiking trails in the Boston Mountains, it's a great hiking area.
There's some flowing water nearby, Willis Creek is a stream you can stop by while you're here, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Adkins / Hailstone Creek. | |
