Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the Boston Mountains where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. Mail Trail is a long drive away from Harrison but hiking is such a fun thing to do and this is a great place to do that. Yeah, come up here to the Boston Mountains for a nice time. A tremendous site for whitewater paddling near Mail Trail is Left Hand Prong. There's so much to do here |

at Mail Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Dogwood Campground is a good place for that. Mail Trail gets a good deal of water; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. This river is a great place
| to visit. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Mail Trail has to offer, you can camp at Richland Creek wildernes Post. In the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Illinois Bayou - North Fork, and unsurprisingly Sulphur Creek flows through this region. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Mail Trail, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows through the wintertime for Mail Trail tend to be in the 20's.
