Silver Point Trail is right next door to Still Hollow which is certainly worth taking a look at, and if you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Left Hand Prong. If you come to this river you will have a good time for sure. Big Piney Creek has a fine whitewater paddling spot nearby, and camping at Richland Creek wildernes Post is always     a good experience. Pretty far from Harrison you find Silver Point Trail but it sure is a nice trail. This location, the Boston Mountains, has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. A tremendous location to camp here at Silver Point Trail is Dogwood Campground, and why not a little side journey to Gunter Branch. Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the Boston Mountains where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. Summertime highs at Silver Point Trail ordinarily tend to be in the 90's, and the overnight is a little cooler of course, typically in the 60's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Silver Point Trail temperatures dip to the 20's.
