| | This part of Colorado is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. Time to get out and breathe some fresh air, and if you happen to be in Hinsdale County of Colorado, Big Blue Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. At Big Blue Trail during the summer highs are in the 70's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and night lows during the winter for Big Blue Trail tend to be in the 10's.

There are many wonderful hiking trails in the San Juan Mountains where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. At Big Blue Trail you don’t see much rainfall; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is June.
