| | Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, time to get out, and Byers Peak Trail in Grand County, Colorado is such a great place. Byers Peak Trail is located quite a long drive from Silverthorne but there's great natural beauty awaiting you along it. At Byers Peak Trail you don’t see much rainfall; August is the month that gets the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Some of the water close by flows, like Mine Creek; you can stay the night at Sugarloaf Campground.

At Byers Peak Trail through the long summer days highs are in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are usually in the 20's, and overnight lows during the winter for Byers Peak Trail tend to be in
| the-10's. Just can't get enough of the Park Range. You can run the rapids of Woods Creek right next door to Byers Peak Trail, and Byers Peak Trail is a good spot to camp, Byers Creek Campground is a good spot.
In the Park Range there are many great hiking trails, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. This is such a wonderful river. You're sure to run into some good folks from Silverthorne here, and a tremendous site for whitewater paddling is Fraser River.
