| Trail gets very little precipitation; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
There's some out of the ordinary stuff to catch a sight of at Meadow Creek Dam in the neighborhood of Caribou Trail, and Western Box Campground is a tremendous local campground. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Fraser River. So many amusing things to do in the Front Range, not enough time. Beaches are good; and Surprise Beach next to Caribou Trail is no exception; Caribou Trail is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Meadow Creek Campground is a tremendous place to camp nearby.
