| | There are many hiking trails in the Park Range, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. Chilton Trail is quite far from the nearest urban center and when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person. Camping at Chilton Trail is tremendous fun, Hinman Campground is a tremendous local campground. In Colorado you never run out of outdoors fun.
Put on your hiking shoes and hit the trail, Chilton Trail in Routt County, Colorado is just what you need. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling |
on Elk River, and it's a perfect idea to take a look at North Fork Big Creek.
All through the summer highs here at Chilton Trail reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's
| overnight here at Chilton Trail. Chilton Trail is usually a relatively dehydrated site; most of the snow falls through December while August is commonly the driest month. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Park Range. Coulton Creek Campground is a great campground here, and Elk River is a good whitewater spot close by.
