| | It's a long drive from Durango to Circle Trail but if you're looking for a good place to go hiking this is a good choice. Tin Can Basin is a good place here at Circle Trail, and Circle Trail is a delightful location to visit for more than one day, Cayton Campground is a delightful location to camp nearby.

Campground is a great campground nearby; drift down the rapids of Hermosa Creek in a kayak.
Around Circle Trail you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is commonly July, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is June. Nearby Bolam Pass is a fine place to go if you're at Circle Trail, and paddling on Lime Creek is so much fun.
