Cottonwood Trail

  As long as you like the outdoors you will like Colorado. Cottonwood Trail is a trail quite far from Montrose but it is a really good trail. Finally, hiking time is here again, and Cottonwood Trail in Montrose County, Colorado is such a great place.
There are many wonderful hiking trails in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, it's a great hiking area. South Fork Cottonwood Creek is a stream that you may run into during your stay. There are some good whitewater
    spots on San Miguel River; Iron Spring Campground is a perfect local campground. Cottonwood Trail is near Uncompahgre National Forest which is a delightful spot. If you came for an overnight stay Antone Spring Campground is a great
location to camp. Lots of people from Montrose come to Cottonwood Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, San Miguel River offers some wonderful whitewater. Around Cottonwood Trail you donít get a lot of rain. The wettest month of the year is ordinarily October, that's the one that rains the most while June is commonly the driest month. Summertime highs at Cottonwood Trail ordinarily tend to be in the 90's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's.  
Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Cottonwood Trail.
