As long as you like the outdoors you will like Colorado. Cottonwood Trail is a long drive away from Montrose but if you're looking for a good place to go hiking this is a good choice. Cottonwood Basin is a scenic site any time of year.

| a great river. Cottonwood Trail is near Bullfrog Dam which is a gorgeous place unquestionably worth stopping at; there are plenty of folks from Montrose here at Cottonwood Trail.
There are many hiking trails in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. If you come at the right time of year, San Miguel River offers some magnificent whitewater, and Smokehouse Campground is a great campground here.
Summer at Cottonwood Trail comes with high temperatures in the 90's; the nighttime is fairly cooler of course, mostly in the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's; overnight lows in the 10's for Cottonwood Trail. | |
