| | We all need to get out in nature once in a while and if you happen to be in Ouray County of Colorado, Cow Creek Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Cow Creek Trail is very far from the nearest big city and you always have a good time when you're hiking along it.
Throughout the warm days of summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Cow Creek Trail. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Cow Creek Trail |

temperatures plunge to the 10's. Cow Creek Trail is mostly a reasonably arid place; September is when you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. There's whitewater on Henson Creek for all you adrenaline people, and let's not forget Wetterhorn Creek
| which is a stream that you may encounter while here.
A good place to camp here at Cow Creek Trail is Timber Ridge Motel and Campground; needless to say Difficulty Creek flows through this area. Cow Creek Trail is good enough to spend more than a day at, Ridgeway is a good local campground; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Cimarron River. | |
