Devil Mountain Trail in Archuleta County, Colorado is a really good place to spend some time. A short tour to Ford Spring is always worthwhile. High temperatures at Devil Mountain Trail through the warm days of summer are in the 80's while overnight lows are mostly in the 40's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 30's with temperatures at Devil Mountain Trail dipping down into the 0's through |
winter nights.
Hiking trails are all over the San Juan Mountains where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors just come on up to the San Juan Mountains. Horse Mountain Springs is always fun to check out, and there are
| some great whitewater spots on Piedra River. This is a great river. Monument Park is a delightful place to stretch your legs a bit; camping at Devil Mountain Trail is tremendous fun, Piedra Hunter Campground is a tremendous local campground.
Why not camp at Mesa Spring Hunter Campground since you're here at Devil Mountain Trail, and there's whitewater on Piedra River for all you adrenaline people. Colorado is a great place for hikers. Devil Mountain Trail gets a typical amount of rainfall; most of the rain falls through August while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
