| | Colorado is a great place for hikers. Elkhorn Stock Driveway gets very little precipitation; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. In the Park Range there are many great hiking trails where beautiful scenery awaits you.
This is such a fun river. There are some glorious whitewater spots on Encampment River; Rose Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth checking out. Be careful coming to the Park Range, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Whitewater paddling is not for |
everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Elk River; Elkhorn Stock Driveway is a pleasant place to camp, Haskins Creek Campground is a pleasant place. Because Elkhorn Stock Driveway is very far from civilization there's great natural beauty awaiting you along it.
