| | There are many hiking trails in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. Farmers Creek Trail is very far from the nearest big city and when you hike it you're always having a good time. Not much rain falls here at Farmers Creek Trail; the month with most of the rain is August while February is generally the driest month. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Rio Grande, and if you came to camp Palisade Campground is a fine place to do that.
