You'll have to go far from Durango to get to Gold Run Trail but hiking is such a fun thing to do and this is a great place to do that. Some nearby water includes Little Bear Creek, and a great place to camp here at Gold Run Trail is Priest Gulch Campground and RV.
Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Hermosa Creek, and Polly Creek is in close proximity to Gold Run Trail and is always a bliss to take |
