Hitting the trails is always a fun thing to do and Grays Peak Trail in Clear Creek County, Colorado is a really good place to spend some time. A perfect place like Horseshoe Basin here at Grays Peak Trail is too wonderful to miss. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Grays Peak Trail has to offer, you can camp at Mizpah Campground. Grays Peak Trail is not very near Silverthorne at all but many people like to hike here to be close to nature.

The warmest time of the year at Grays Peak Trail comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 30's. For the period of the winter highs are commonly in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the-10's for Grays Peak Trail. And if that's not
| enough there's a lot more entertaining stuff to do in the Park Range. Clear Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot close by; while you're here, you might as well explore Falls Gulch.
Stay the night at Clear Lake Campground, and if you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Woods Creek. In Colorado you never run out of outdoors fun. Grays Peak Trail gets very little rainfall; July is when you get the most rain here while January is regularly the driest month.
