Green Mountain is a fun hike whether you do an out-n-back up the frontside or do a loop and come back via Gregory Canyon. It is approx. 2.5 miles up the front side and you gain almost 2,500 vertical from trailhead to the peak.... so have your lungs ready, the view from the peak are spectacular.

Green Mountain Trail gets very little rain; most of the rain
| falls all through May while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool stuff the Front Range has to offer. Don't leave Green Mountain Trail without first paying a visit to Ute Spring, and a quick spree to Gregory Creek is definitely a magnificent idea. Pretty far from Boulder you find Green Mountain Trail but when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person.

Boulder, and Green Mountain Trail is a tremendous site to visit for more than one day, Rimrock Campground is a tremendous site to camp nearby. High temperatures at Green Mountain Trail during the summertime are in the 80's while overnight lows are mostly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Green Mountain Trail drop into the 10's.
