Green Mountain Trail

  It's a long drive from Silverthorne to Green Mountain Trail but It's always fun to hike here. This part of Colorado is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. Surprise Beach is next to Green Mountain Trail and is a pretty beach to check out, and there's whitewater on Cache La Poudre River for all you adrenaline people. Big Meadows is a wonderful site; get your heart beating on the splendid whitewater of Colorado River. Green Mountain Trail is good
    enough to spend more than a day at, Harbison Campground is a good local campground. Onahu Creek is a perfect place to visit, and during your journey here you'll meet some people from Grand Lake for sure. A delightful site to camp
here at Green Mountain Trail is Winding River Resort. Green Mountain Trail gets very little rain. Of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is February. Throughout the warmest time of the year at Green Mountain Trail temperatures are regularly in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's while Green Mountain Trail nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's.
