In the Sawatch Range there are many great hiking trails where wonderful nature is waiting for you. Not much rain falls here at Half Moon Trail; July is the wettest month with most rain; February on the other hand is the driest.

| Edwards love to come here. A visit to Colorado is not complete without some hiking.
A good place to camp here at Half Moon Trail is Gold Park Campground. A great spot to stop by near Half Moon Trail is Half Moon Pass; why not a little side spree to East Cross Creek. Half Moon Trail is not very near Edwards at all but it is a great escape from the city.
If you come at the right time of year, Eagle River offers some delightful whitewater; Half Moon Trail is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Half Moon Campground is a tremendous local campground. | |
