| | Hiking trails are all over the Sawatch Range where beautiful scenery awaits you. So much amusing stuff to do in the Sawatch Range, not sufficient time. If you come at the right time of year, Clear Creek offers some great whitewater, and if you came to camp Arkansas River Rim Campground is a fine place to do that. Gotta get out of the city man, and Harvard Trail in Chaffee County, Colorado is a really good place to spend some time.
Harvard Trail is quite far from the nearest urban center and it is one of many great trails in this area. Get yourself into a |
kayak and hit Arkansas River. There's so much to do here at Harvard Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Crazyhorse Camping Resort is a fine place for that.
This part of Colorado is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. Not much rain falls here at Harvard
| Trail; most of the rain falls all through August, and the driest month of the year is October. For the period of the long summer days highs here at Harvard Trail reach the 70's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 30's. During the winter the highs are usually in the 20's with temperatures at Harvard Trail dipping down into the-10's through winter nights.
