| | There are many hiking trails in the Park Range, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. At Haystack Trail through the warm months highs are in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and overnight lows at Haystack Trail during the wintertime usually fall into the 0's. It is very dried up here at Haystack Trail usually; May is when you get the most rain here, and January meanwhile is the driest month.

and it's one of those places where hiking is great. Yeah, come up here to the Park Range for a great time. Stay the night at Trail Creek Campground, and Willow Creek is a good whitewater spot close by. This part of Colorado is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season.
| We all need to get out in nature once in a while and if you happen to be in Jackson County of Colorado, Haystack Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Parkview Campground is a good campground here, and if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Colorado River.
