High Trail is very far from the nearest big city and hiking it is always fun. Some close by water includes West Fork Red Dirt Creek, and there's whitewater on Colorado River for all you adrenaline kick people. High Trail is generally a rather dried out location; most of the snow falls through March, and the driest month is June. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Sweetwater Creek. There's so much to do here at High Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Coffee Pot Spring     Campground is a great spot for that. Summertime highs at High Trail commonly tend to be in the 80's; the night is fairly cooler of course, usually in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at High Trail temperatures sink to the 0's.
