Highline Trail is in a quite desolate area and it is a fun place to hike for the whole family. Colorado has so much to offer nature lovers. This river is so good. There are some fine whitewater spots on Rio Grande.

can camp at Broken Arrow Ranch. Highline Trail is a location that is quite dry usually; July is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month is June.
Hunters Lake Dam is worth going to while you're here. There's so much to do here at Highline Trail that you need to camp
| here for a while, Mining Camp RV Resort is a great site for that. Hiking trails are all over the San Juan Mountains, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Highline Trail with nighttime lows in the 30's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Highline Trail temperatures descend to the-10's.
