Why not camp at Byers Creek Campground while you're here at Horseshoe and Idlewild Trail, and you'll meet a lot of people from Silverthorne here. Hull Creek is a stream that you may bump into while here, and paddling on Fraser River is so much fun.
With so many outdoors activities available in Colorado you'll never get bored. Horseshoe and Idlewild Trail
    is not very near Silverthorne at all but hiking it is great fun any time. High temperatures at Horseshoe and Idlewild Trail all through the warm days of summer are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 40's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are commonly
in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Horseshoe and Idlewild Trail temperatures sink to the-10's.
Hiking trails are all over the Park Range where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. Church Park is a splendid location; there's some flowing water nearby, Upson Creek is a stream you can stop by during your stay. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff right next door to Horseshoe and Idlewild Trail.

August, that's the one that rains the most, and February on the other hand is the driest. A brilliant spot to camp here at Horseshoe and Idlewild Trail is Sugarloaf Campground, and Colorado River has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby.
