Liberty is a spectacular hike. Allow your self three hours for this challenging hike. Be sure to bring plenty of water and a camera for the amazing view at the top of the cap. Full of steep switch backs, boulders to conquer and, an obvious trail to follow. Also an ingenious design of a latter infused into boulders atop of the trail.

| | When was the last time you got out in nature a bit? if you happen to be in Mesa County of Colorado, Liberty Cap Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Liberty Cap Trail is not very near Grand Junction at all but if you're looking for a good place to go hiking this is a good choice. Kannah Creek has a delightful whitewater paddling spot close by. There's so much to do here at Liberty Cap Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Fruita Junction RV Park is a great location for that.
