| | Lion Lake Trail being so far away from the nearest city when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person. If you are in Colorado during hiking season you have to go hiking. Man, is there plenty of cool stuff to do in the Front Range. It is very dry here at Lion Lake Trail usually; August is when you get the most rain here, and November on the other hand is the driest.

are in the 70's at Lion Lake Trail with night lows in the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lion Lake Trail are in the 0's. A great place for whitewater paddling right next door to Lion Lake Trail is Saint Vrain Creek - North, and
| Sand Beach Dam is an interesting thing to check out.
You definitely have to love the Front Range. Boulder Creek is a fine whitewater spot in the vicinity of Lion Lake Trail, and do take a look at Ouzel Creek while you're here at Lion Lake Trail. Why not camp at Glacier Basin Campground while you're here at Lion Lake Trail; a tour to Mertensia Falls will fill your spirit with good feelings.
