This river is a great place to visit. Little Cimarron Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Big Blue Campground is a great local campground. Hiking trails are all over the San Juan Mountains, it's a great hiking area.

Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Henson Creek; a perfect place to camp here at Little Cimarron Trail is Beaver Lake Campground. Little Cimarron Trail is a location that is rather arid generally; September is the month that gets the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. Can’t wait to get out in nature, if you happen to be in Hinsdale County of Colorado, Little Cimarron Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching.
