If you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on San Miguel River; Lizard Head Pass is another great place to take a look at close by. Lizard Head Trail gets very little precipitation; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain while June is mostly the driest month. Lime Creek has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot nearby, and a pleasant journey to Wilson Meadows is a delightful way to spend an afternoon.
