  Finally, hiking time is here again, and Lone Pine Trail in Jackson County, Colorado is a great place to go. In the Park Range you'll find lots of hiking trails where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. Because Lone Pine Trail is very far from civilization it is a really good trail. At Lone Pine Trail through the months of summer highs are in the 80's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; night lows at Lone Pine Trail during the wintertime regularly drop into the-10's.
    Now, you may assume that's plenty but there's even more amusing things to do here in the Park Range. Lone Pine Trail is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Helena Campground is a wonderful local campground, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Elk River.
It is very
dried up here at Lone Pine Trail mostly; throughout December this area sees the most snow, and August on the other hand is the driest. Colorado is a great outdoors state. A splendid spot to camp here at Lone Pine Trail is Lakeside Campground, and you might also want to pay a visit to Ute Pass if you're here at Lone Pine Trail.
