| | Time to get out and breathe some fresh air, and Main Range Trail in Lake County, Colorado is a perfect place for getting out. A long drive separates Edwards from Main Range Trail, but it sure is a nice trail. So much enjoyable stuff to do here in the Sawatch Range, too tremendous to be true. Camping at White Star Campground is always a nice experience; Lake Creek is a good whitewater spot nearby. A visit to Colorado is not complete without some hiking. Through the days of summer at Main Range Trail temperatures are mostly in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the
| 30's; night lows at Main Range Trail all through the wintertime commonly fall into the 0's.
Main Range Trail is regularly a rather dried up place; August is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Gordon Gulch is near Main Range Trail and is a brilliant location, and a tremendous location for whitewater paddling is Clear Creek.
