| | This part of Colorado is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Mansfield Ditch Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Rifle Falls is a magnificent site for that, and obviously Clark Creek flows through this area. Mansfield Ditch Trail is very far from the nearest big city and it sure is a nice trail. Cherry Creek is a stream that you may bump into while you're here. Mansfield Ditch Trail is commonly a pretty dried out place; of all the months in a year October is the one |
with the most rain, and the driest month is February. A pleasant spree to Calhoun Basin is a magnificent way to spend an afternoon, and in case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on White River - South Fork. For the duration of the summer

All through the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Mansfield Ditch Trail. If you came to camp Little Box Canyon Campground is a brilliant place to do that, and whitewater paddling is great on White River - North Fork. | |
