McIntyre Trail is a very long way away from civilization and you always have a good time when you're hiking along it. Around McIntyre Trail you don’t get a lot of precipitation; through July this area sees the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. This river has it all. If you're here at McIntyre Trail, you could have a look at Housmer Creek; if you came for an overnight stay Hooligan Roost Campground is a brilliant spot to camp.

If you want a nice time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Medicine Bow Mountains. Whitewater paddling is perfect on Cache La Poudre River, and camping at McIntyre Trail is good fun, Browns Park Campground is a good local campground. There are many hiking trails in the Medicine Bow Mountains, it's a great hiking area.
