User input for Mesa Trail, Front Range, Boulder County, Colorado:
TimW: The Mesa trail is an urban hikers dream. Connecting Eldorado canyon to Chatauqua with a very scenic 10 mile trail makes it hard to imagine so much open park land minutes away from the urban corridor. Either way is a great hike, a good start hike in the spring but there it just gets better. Work you way to Green mountain, then Bear and then Bear via Fern canyon. You'll fall in love with this place. It should be noted that there are lots of wild animals there. Saw a bear twice one morning, we kept intersecting the trail at the same time as it was.
