You'll need more than a day to look at everything Mount Elbert Trail has to offer, you can camp at Elbert Creek Campground. High temperatures at Mount Elbert Trail during the summertime months are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Mount Elbert Trail.
