You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while and if you happen to be in Lake County of Colorado, Mount Massive Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Halfmoon Campground is a nice local campground; swing by South Halfmoon Creek it's a splendid place to have a look at. At Mount Massive Trail all through the long summer days highs are in the 70's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 40's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 30's, |
and overnight lows in the 0's for Mount Massive Trail.
Get yourself into a kayak and hit Clear Creek. You absolutely have to fancy the Sawatch Range. Why not camp at Elbert Creek Campground while you're here at Mount Massive Trail, and float down the rapids of Lake Creek in
| a kayak.
In the Sawatch Range you'll find lots of hiking trails where wonderful nature is waiting for you. At Mount Massive Trail you don’t see much rain; August is the month that gets the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. A long drive separates Edwards from Mount Massive Trail, but you always have a good time when you're hiking along it.
