| | In the Sawatch Range you'll find lots of hiking trails where wonderful nature is waiting for you. Through the summertime at Mount Massive Trail temperatures are commonly in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and overnight lows through the winter for Mount Massive Trail tend to be in the 0's. Mount Massive Trail is located quite a long drive from Edwards but it is one of many great trails in this area.

has it all. Camping is available at Halfmoon Campground, and Lake Creek is a great whitewater spot nearby. Mount Massive Trail is pretty dry usually; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is February. Some of the water nearby flows, like South Halfmoon
| Creek, and in case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clear Creek.
Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in nature a bit and if you happen to be in Lake County of Colorado, Mount Massive Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. A great place to camp here at Mount Massive Trail is Elbert Creek Campground. A visit to Colorado is not complete without some hiking.
