| | Pretty far from Fort Collins-Loveland you find Mount McConnel Trail but it's one of those places where hiking is great. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Cache La Poudre River has a nice whitewater paddling spot close by; Dutch George Flats is a fine place here at Mount McConnel Trail. Gotta get out of the city man, and Mount McConnel Trail in Larimer County, Colorado is the outdoors at it's best.

meet a lot of folks from Fort Collins-Loveland here. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a splendid time here at Mount McConnel Trail. Mount McConnel Trail is close to Poverty Gulch which is definitely worth a visit, and whitewater paddling is pleasant on Cache La Poudre River
| - South Fork. Camping at Mount McConnel Trail is fine fun, Narrows Campground is a fine local campground, and hey, Pendergrass Creek is a wonderful local stream.
Hiking here in Colorado is a must. Take a side visit to South Fork Cache la Poudre River, and everyone loves Pendergrass Flats. Why not camp at Kelly Flats Campground while you're here at Mount McConnel Trail, and a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park is recommended.
Not much rainfall falls here at Mount McConnel Trail; the month with most of the rain is July, and December is when it's the driest. | |

Hiking trails are all over the Medicine Bow Mountains, it's a great hiking area. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Mount McConnel Trail. For the period of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 40's. Through the winter the highs are generally in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Mount McConnel Trail.
