Mount McConnel Trail is a long drive away from Fort Collins-Loveland but hiking is such a fun thing to do and this is a great place to do that. For the period of the months of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Mount McConnel Trail with overnight lows in the 40's. Dutch George Flats is a glorious place here at Mount McConnel Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Cache La Poudre River offers some good whitewater. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Cache La Poudre River - South Fork, and Kelly Flats Campground is a pleasant campground nearby. So much amusing stuff to do here in the Medicine Bow Mountains, too brilliant to be true. During your tour to Mount McConnel Trail you'll meet some folks from Fort Collins-Loveland for sure.

there plenty of fun things to do in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Visit Pendergrass Creek since you're here at Mount McConnel Trail, and Mount McConnel Trail is a perfect site to visit for more than one day, Narrows Campground is a perfect site to camp nearby. Poverty Gulch is near
Mount McConnel Trail and is certainly a magnificent place to pop by; if time allows, Rocky Mountain National Park is a national park worth checking out. Mount McConnel Trail gets very little precipitation; the wettest month of the year is frequently July, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is December.
