You have to have either a truck or SUV and if you want to bypass about 4 miles of rocky road hiking take a 4 wheel vehicle. It is totally worth it... beautiful!

In the Sangre De Cristo Mountains you'll find lots of hiking trails where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains.
If you haven’t been to Great Sand Dunes National Monument, you have to schedule some time for it since you're here. Music Pass is a good place |
to take a look at nearby; camping at Cross D Bar Trout Ranch is always a nice experience.
