Nipple Peak Trail is very far from the nearest big city and hiking along this trail is very enjoyable. In the Park Range you'll find lots of hiking trails where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. Dutch Hill Campground is a glorious local campground, and getting to Burton Creek from Nipple Peak Trail is easy.

Try East Fork Oliver Creek, and get dripping wet paddling on Elk River. Hiking here in Colorado is a must. Around Nipple Peak Trail you don’t get a lot of precipitation; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow while February is the month with the least amount

Drift down the rapids of Elk River in a kayak; Nipple Peak Trail is a nice place to visit for more than one day, Sunrise Vista Campground is a nice place to camp nearby.
