Palmer Trail   It's a long drive from Colorado Springs to Palmer Trail but what a great place for hiking it is. Colorado has so much to offer nature lovers. In the Front Range there are many great hiking trails where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. Put on your hiking shoes and hit the trail, Palmer Trail in El Paso County, Colorado is a good choice. Palmer Trail is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Crystal Kangaroo Campground is a fine local campground.     Hunters Run is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out, and do set aside some time for Crystal Park since you're here at Palmer Trail. Bear Canyon is right next door to Palmer Trail and is a good site; a perfect place to camp here at Palmer Trail is Pikes Peak RV Park and Campgrounds. Sutherland Creek is near Palmer Trail and is always a pleasure to explore, and lots of folks from Manitou Springs come here. Mueller State Park is a tremendous site to have a look at on a beautiful day. Palmer Trail gets very little rainfall. Most of the rain falls throughout July while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Palmer   Trail. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Palmer Trail are in the 0's.
