Pretty far from Grand Junction you find Point Trail but you always have a good time when you're hiking along it. Point Trail is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Glacier Spring Campground is a nice local campground, and Flowing Park is right here at Point Trail. Not much rainfall falls here at Point Trail; the month with most of the rain is October, and the driest month is January. A magnificent location     to camp here at Point Trail is Spruce Grove Campground, and there's always Dugger Dam to stop at near Point Trail. This river is so great. Float down the rapids of Kannah Creek in a kayak, and if you come at the right time of year, Escalante Creek offers some glorious whitewater. All through the warmest time of the year at Point Trail highs are usually in the 90's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 60's.
