Rainbow Trail is pretty dried out frequently; the wettest month of the year is frequently July, that's the one that rains the most, and June is the month with the least moisture. Spending too much time indoors got you down? No problem, Rainbow Trail in Mineral County, Colorado is such a great place.

Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Ivy Creek Campground and Trailhead is a pleasant place for that; get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Wolf Creek. During the long summer days at Rainbow Trail temperatures are mostly in the 70's while overnight lows are
| commonly in the 30's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's while Rainbow Trail nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the-10's. This location, the San Juan Mountains, has so much outdoors cool stuff. Rainbow Creek is close to Rainbow Trail and is always a joy to stop by; a great site for whitewater paddling is San Juan River - East Fork.
