You'll need more than a day to discover everything Rainbow Trail has to offer, you can camp at Pagosa Riverside Campground, and Mullins Hole is a good site to stretch your legs a bit.

There are many hiking trails in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. Through the days of summer at Rainbow Trail temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's with overnight lows in the 30's. Throughout the winter highs are commonly in the 20's while Rainbow Trail overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the-10's.
Not much precipitation falls here at Rainbow Trail; most of the rain falls through July, and June on the other hand is the driest. You can run the rapids of Wolf Creek next to Rainbow Trail, and Sheep Park is a delightful location any time of year. | |
