Ridge Stock Driveway being so far away from the nearest city if you're looking for a good place to go hiking this is a good choice. This is such a wonderful river. Ridgeway is a brilliant campground here.

So much cool stuff in the San Juan Mountains, just fantastic. Stay the night at Timber Ridge Motel and Campground; Henson Creek is a fine whitewater spot nearby. Ridge Stock Driveway gets very little precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is June. If you yearn for a little side journey, try Schafer Gulch, and in the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mineral Creek - South.
