Around Rough Creek Trail you don’t get a lot of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February. This is such a great river. A great site in close proximity to Rough Creek Trail is Wood Gulch, and get drenched paddling     on Lake Fork Gunnison River. This part of Colorado is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. Be careful coming to the San Juan Mountains, you might not ever want to return home again. Camping is available at Cebolla Campground, and don't forget to take a brilliant little tour to Rough Creek. Soar down the rapids of Rio Grande in a kayak. If you came for an overnight stay Spruce Campground is a tremendous place to camp, and needless to say Martinez Creek is a charming stream that is worth checking out. Summertime at Rough Creek Trail comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Rough Creek Trail descend into the-10's.
