Rule Creek Trail is not very near Colorado Springs at all but it's one of those places where hiking is great. In the Front Range you'll find lots of hiking trails, it's a great hiking area.
High temperatures at Rule Creek Trail during the long summer days are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with
    temperatures at Rule Creek Trail dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. Paddling on South Platte River is so much fun, and there's some flowing water nearby, Manchester Creek is a stream you can stop by while here. The surroundings of this river have so much to offer.
You'll need more than a day to discover everything Rule Creek Trail has to offer, you can camp at Alpine Lakes Resort; get covered with water paddling on South Platte River.
Not much rain falls here at Rule Creek Trail; July is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is January.
There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Front Range. There's so much to do here at Rule Creek Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Trail Creek Campground is a delightful spot for that; if you have the time, Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is a national park worth taking a look at.
