  Colorado has lots of outdoors activities. There are many wonderful hiking trails in the Front Range, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. A long drive separates Colorado Springs from Rule Creek Trail, but when you hike it you're always having a good time.
We all need to get out in nature once in a while and Rule Creek Trail in Teller County, Colorado is a really good place to spend some time. Whitewater paddling is nice on South Platte River;
    camping is available at Painted Rocks - Pike National Forest. But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the Front Range. The views at Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument will blow your mind, and if you came for an overnight
stay Alpine Lakes Resort is a great site to camp. Mueller State Park is both good and delightful, and it's close to Rule Creek Trail, and during your spree here you'll meet some folks from Woodland Park for sure. Manchester Creek is a scenic stream that is worth a visit. During the months of summer at Rule Creek Trail highs are generally in the 80's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the  
40's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Rule Creek Trail. Rule Creek Trail is pretty arid ordinarily. Most of the rain falls during July; January is when it's the driest.
