| | Finally, hiking time is here again, and if you happen to be in Teller County of Colorado, Rule Ridge Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Rule Ridge Trail is a trail quite far from Colorado Springs but what a great place for hiking it is. Rule Ridge Trail is frequently a reasonably dried out site; during July this area sees the most rain; January is the month with the least moisture. Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the Front Range where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains.

Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument will blow your mind. This part of Colorado is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Front Range. Very good water scenery is available at Rule Creek Dam near
| Rule Ridge Trail, and Alpine Lakes Resort is a magnificent campground here.
Stay the night at Trail Creek Campground; get drenched paddling on South Platte River. Through the summertime months here at Rule Ridge Trail, high temperatures usually reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Rule Ridge Trail all through the winter typically dip into the 0's.
