| | There are many wonderful hiking trails in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. A visit to Colorado is not complete without some hiking. You might want to pay a visit to Middle Fork Coal Creek Canyon if you're here at Sheeley Trail. There's so much to do here at Sheeley Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Smith Creek Campground is a pleasant location for that.

The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's; through the dark hours in the winter at Sheeley Trail temperatures descend to the 20's.
