| | Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, time to get out, and if you happen to be in San Miguel County of Colorado, Sheep Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Sheep Trail is in a quite desolate area and many people like to hike here to be close to nature. As long as you like the outdoors you will like Colorado. Don’t forget to pop by Wilson Meadows since you're here at Sheep Trail, and Sheep Trail is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Riverwood Inn and RV Park is a wonderful local campground.

Summer at Sheep Trail comes with high temperatures in the 80's while overnight lows are regularly in the 40's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 30's, and night lows in the 0's for Sheep Trail. Coming to this river is always a good idea. Very good water
| scenery is available at Trout Lake Dam near Sheep Trail; a quick trip to Wilson Creek is positively a tremendous idea. Sheep Trail is pretty arid usually; most of the rain falls during July, and June is the month with the least moisture.
So much cool stuff to do at Sheep Trail, so little time. Get yourself into a kayak and hit San Miguel River, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Lime Creek. A magnificent place in close proximity to Sheep Trail is Lizard Head Pass, and do set aside some time for Lizard Head Meadows since you're here at Sheep Trail. | |
